The Apartment

click to magnify The larger apartment – 153 – has its own entrance leading into an entrance lobby and then the living room with a high, massive wood beamed ceiling, fireplace, door to the balcony, partially separate dining area, which can seat 6 quite easily, and with the two leaves extended more, kitchen and downstairs WC and washbasin.
There is also a radio/CD/tape player and a cable TV including BBC World and CNN in English, French, German and other language stations.click to magnify

Kitchen

The kitchen has a full size oven, a four ring ceramic hob, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, a filter coffee maker, a toaster, a kettle and teapot. The kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and related items for eight.

Upstairs there is a mezzanine landing with the main bathroom with corner bath, a separate shower, WC and a small washing machine.

Bedrooms
At each end of the landing there are two bedrooms under the roof timbers, each with “Velux” style windows. These are operated with an aluminium pole – one in each bedroom – through an aluminium eye at the top of the window. They can be completely closed, left on ventilate, or the window can be properly opened. If left too open in the rain, the rain drips in. Please leave them closed when leaving!

One of the upstairs bedrooms has a double bed - each side can be individually adjusted under click to magnify the mattress to variably raise the head end or the feet end. There are two bedside tables each with a bedside lamp, a chest of drawers with mirror over and a large wardrobe.

click to magnifyThe other bedroom has two single beds, with one normally stored under the other, a wardrobe and chest of drawers. With both single beds in use, there is also just room for a set of bunk beds too. We are thinking about installing some. Let us know if you are interested. The apartment has bedding, including duvets, sheets, pillows and pillowcases, as well as towels and tea towels for four people.

To complement the washing machine in the bathroom, there is a drying rack in one of the bedrooms, together with an electric iron and ironing board. There is also a small drying device on the balcony from which shirts on wire-hangers could be hung.
